Wedding Floral Design Workshop
Dr. Jim DelPrince
MSU Central Research and Extension Center, Raymond (Jackson), Mississippi.
Learn the ins and outs of selling, handling and designing wedding flowers. Participants will discover how to sell wedding flowers, creating the “win/win” with clients. We will cover floral care and handling materials and techniques that make flowers last. Learn how to correctly execute hand-tied bouquets, save time with adhesive-mechanic corsages and boutonnieres, be creative with centerpieces and design a spectacular altar arrangement. This class is outlined for those with very little, if any, professional wedding floral experience and those who aspire to sell wedding flowers at a profit. Flower farmers are especially encouraged to attend. Bring cut flower knife, wire cutters, ribbon shears, pruners. Lunches included.
