The 2018 Pecan Education Workshop will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at the Central Mississippi Research and Extension Center in Raymond, Mississippi. The workshop will consist of a morning Horticulture Session and an afternoon Pest Management Session (see agenda below). The aim of this workshop is to provide valuable information for commercial pecan growers of all levels, but particularly for beginners. The program will begin at 8:30 AM and will end at 4:30 PM. Registration will begin at 8:00 AM. Lunch will be provided.
 
This workshop will also be offered for in-service training for MSU Extension agents. Agents attending the workshop for in-service training will need to complete the in-service training registration in addition to the main registration (below) in order to receive in-service training credit.
 
Registration and payment of the $35.00 (per person) regular registration fee must be completed by Thursday, January 11, 2018. After January 11, 2018, anyone interested in attending the workshop must contact Dr. Rebecca A. Melanson (contact information below) at the Central MS Research and Extension Center to determine availability of space. The registration fee will cover the cost of the lunch and refreshments as well as some of the supplies/handouts provided during the workshop.
