The 2018 General Pest Management Workshop will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the Central Mississippi Research and Extension Center in Raymond, MS. Topics on pesticide safety and regulation, disease management, insect management, and weed control will be included in the program. The program will begin at 9:00 AM and will end at 4:00 PM. Registration will begin at 8:15 AM. Lunch will be provided.

Registration and payment of the $20.00 regular registration fee by Thursday, March 22, 2018, is required in order to reserve a spot in this workshop. After March 22, 2018, anyone interested in attending the workshop must contact Dr. Rebecca A. Melanson (contact information below) at the Central MS Research and Extension Center to determine availability of space. Registration may be completed online or by calling the Central Mississippi Research and Extension Center at (601) 857-2284. Credit card payments will be accepted online only through March 22, 2018. Checks must be made payable to “MSU CMREC” and should be mailed to Dr. Melanson (address below) and received by March 22, 2018. Please include “Pest Management Workshop” on the check.

The 2018 General Pest Management Workshop has been approved by the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce Bureau of Plant Industry for consultant license renewal for categories within entomology, plant pathology, and weed control and for commercial pesticide recertification (category X). Only certificates expiring within 12 months with be reissued. This workshop is also being offered for in-service training for MSU Extension employees.
